Religious rights are protected within the charter. I think that relying on some sort of an exemption, which may have been created before the charter existed, is really misleading folks. What we need to focus on is that the charter has very robust protections when it comes to freedom of religion. Bill <a data-HoCid=\"13590613\" href=\"/bills/45-1/C-9/\" title=\"An Act to amend the Criminal Code (hate propaganda, hate crime and access to religious or cultural places)\">C-9</a> would not infringe upon that right whatsoever. </p>",
