I am trying to understand what is going on.</p>\n<p data-HoCid=\"8936756\" data-originallang=\"fr\">On the one hand, the Liberals introduced a bill, Bill <a data-HoCid=\"13632609\" href=\"/bills/45-1/C-12/\" title=\"An Act respecting certain measures relating to the security of Canada's borders and the integrity of the Canadian immigration system and respecting other related security measures\">C-12</a>, to address concerns that citizens, including those in my riding of Shefford, had about Bill <a data-HoCid=\"13543613\" href=\"/bills/45-1/C-2/\" title=\"An Act respecting certain measures relating to the security of the border between Canada and the United States and respecting other related security measures\">C-2</a>. On the other hand, the Liberals are not speaking today. To add insult to injury, as my distinguished colleague from <a data-HoCid=\"317843\" href=\"/politicians/martin-champoux/\" title=\"Martin Champoux\">Drummond</a> so aptly pointed out, they are asking questions that do not really help us understand the changes that were made from Bill C-2 to Bill C-12.</p>\n<p data-HoCid=\"8936757\" data-originallang=\"fr\">We know that mail searches have been abolished because they are an invasion of privacy, and that restrictions on donations of $10,000 have been dropped, as has the collection of private data, but can my colleague help me understand and clarify this?</p>",
