"en": "<p data-HoCid=\"8581377\" data-originallang=\"en\">Madam Speaker, I want to thank our colleague from <a data-HoCid=\"278530\" href=\"/politicians/mike-lake/\" title=\"Mike Lake\">Edmonton\u2014Wetaskiwin</a> for the tone and substance of his speech; it reminds me of a time, a few years ago here, when we worked together on a letter to push the government to move forward with Bill <a data-HoCid=\"11826019\" href=\"/bills/44-1/C-22/\" title=\"An Act to reduce poverty and to support the financial security of persons with disabilities by establishing the Canada disability benefit and making a consequential amendment to the Income Tax Act\">C-22</a>. We need more of that, as we have seen in recent days, and a different tone in this place.</p>\n<p data-HoCid=\"8581378\" data-originallang=\"en\">I think it is fair to ask about what a future Conservative government might do. We know, for example, that the Canada carbon rebate would be taken away. The Conservatives have made that very clear. However, they have not been clear about whether they would fix and deliver the Canada disability benefit at an adequate income level. I know it is something that he cares about.</p>\n<p data-HoCid=\"8581379\" data-originallang=\"en\">If there is not a commitment in place already, can he share about what he can do to ensure that a commitment is in place in the near future?</p>",
