A number of us from Edmonton are here.</p>\n<p data-HoCid=\"8637218\" data-originallang=\"en\">I agree with my colleague. I find it very disappointing that the Liberals shut down unanimous consent to put in place a committee to look at the Canada-India relationship. Knowing how difficult it is, knowing how dangerous this is and knowing that the Indian government has potentially taken the life of a Canadian citizen on Canadian soil, I think it is urgent that this committee be struck. We will continue to try to work with all members of the House to ensure that this committee does come forward. I think it is vital, and I am disappointed.</p>\n<p data-HoCid=\"8637219\" data-originallang=\"en\">One thing I would also say is that, tonight, we have heard member after member of the Liberal Party stand up and say that they did not oppose it. That is not really how it works. If the Liberal Party opposes it, unfortunately, those members really do need to have a serious conversation with whoever it was within the Liberal Party who actually shut down that committee; they need to convince their colleagues to finally support such work.</p>",

Je trouve tr\u00e8s d\u00e9cevant que les lib\u00e9raux aient rejet\u00e9 le consentement unanime \u00e0 la cr\u00e9ation d'un comit\u00e9 charg\u00e9 d'examiner les relations entre le Canada et l'Inde. Sachant \u00e0 quel point c'est difficile, sachant \u00e0 quel point c'est dangereux et sachant que le gouvernement indien a potentiellement enlev\u00e9 la vie \u00e0 un citoyen canadien en sol canadien, je pense qu'il est urgent qu'un tel comit\u00e9 soit mis en place. Ce n'est pas vraiment comme cela que cela fonctionne. Si le Parti lib\u00e9ral s'y oppose, malheureusement, ces d\u00e9put\u00e9s doivent vraiment avoir une conversation s\u00e9rieuse avec ceux qui, au sein du Parti lib\u00e9ral, ont emp\u00each\u00e9 la cr\u00e9ation de ce comit\u00e9; ils doivent convaincre leurs coll\u00e8gues de soutenir enfin cette proposition. </p>"
