The minister before the current Minister of Environment and Climate Change promised they would assess every single coal mine.</p>\n<p data-HoCid=\"7878081\" data-originallang=\"en\">We also know that there is no way of him knowing what the selenium outcomes are going to be. We do not have that information because we have not tested and we have not looked at it yet. Selenium poisoning is what is going to kill the water, kill the fish and kill the land.</p>\n<p data-HoCid=\"7878082\" data-originallang=\"en\">Does the <a data-HoCid=\"278910\" href=\"/politicians/steven-guilbeault/\" title=\"Steven Guilbeault\">minister</a> not understand how selenium poisoning works, and will he not listen to the indigenous groups in the community that have asked for this impact assessment and have asked him to close this loophole? He has the ability to do this. I beg of the minister to close this mine down and bring in an impact assessment, as was promised, now. </p>",

C'est la pollution de l'environnement par le s\u00e9l\u00e9nium qui empoisonnera l'eau, tuera les poissons et ravagera les terres.</p>\n<p data-HoCid=\"7878082\" data-originallang=\"en\">Le <a data-HoCid=\"278910\" href=\"/politicians/steven-guilbeault/\" title=\"Steven Guilbeault\">ministre</a> ne comprend-il pas comment fonctionne l'intoxication au s\u00e9l\u00e9nium? N'\u00e9coutera-t-il pas les groupes autochtones de la collectivit\u00e9 qui ont demand\u00e9 une \u00e9valuation environnementale et qui lui ont demand\u00e9 d'\u00e9liminer cette faille? Il a la capacit\u00e9 de le faire. J'implore le ministre de fermer cette mine et de proc\u00e9der \u00e0 une \u00e9valuation environnementale, comme promis, d\u00e8s maintenant.</p>"
