"en": "<p data-HoCid=\"7814153\" data-originallang=\"en\">Mr. Speaker, CEPA and the Fisheries Act help protect our water, but the federal government needs to show more leadership on water, and I want to thank the member for <a data-HoCid=\"278722\" href=\"/politicians/elizabeth-may/\" title=\"Elizabeth May\">Saanich\u2014Gulf Islands</a>, who repeatedly called for an independent departmental agency that would report directly to the minister, which we now call the Canada water agency. It would help to protect and manage our waterways, working with provinces, territories, indigenous governments and communities, and other stakeholders for time immemorial.</p>\n<p data-HoCid=\"7814154\" data-originallang=\"en\">Canada is home to 20% of the world's fresh water, and we have to protect it.</p>",
