"en": "<p data-HoCid=\"8053704\" data-originallang=\"en\">Mr. Speaker, what a wonderful occasion it is today to welcome Sikyong Penpa Tsering of the Central Tibetan Administration to Ottawa. </p>\n<p data-HoCid=\"8053705\" data-originallang=\"en\">Elected as Sikyong in 2021, he is the voice of the Tibetan people around the world, including right here in Canada. He also served as the speaker of the Parliament of the Central Tibetan Administration. </p>\n<p data-HoCid=\"8053706\" data-originallang=\"en\">I think of the thousands of Tibetans across our communities in Canada. The vibrant culture of the Tibetan people enriches the social fabric of our country. The Tibetan Canadian Cultural Centre is located in Etobicoke\u2014Lakeshore, something I am very proud of, and the goals of the centre and Tibetan Buddhism in general reflect a respect for life and harmony that transcends all cultures. </p>\n<p data-HoCid=\"8053707\" data-originallang=\"en\">Non-violence and peace are universal aspirations for all humanity, and the Sikyong embodies those values. I have had the pleasure and honour of meeting him on several occasions, including today.</p>\n<p data-HoCid=\"8053708\" data-originallang=\"en\"> I want to thank him for all his hard work, and I appreciate all his efforts. He has our commitment that we will stand with him and the people of Tibet.</p>\n<p data-HoCid=\"8053709\" data-originallang=\"en\"> <em>Tashi delek</em>.</p>",
