"en": "<p data-HoCid=\"7945095\" data-originallang=\"fr\">Mr. Speaker, it is very important to implement measures that will lead to more housing in every province.</p>\n<p data-HoCid=\"7945096\" data-originallang=\"en\">Thankfully, I was able to engage with the Province of Newfoundland and Labrador, both in my capacity as immigration minister and now in my capacity as the Minister of Housing, to help them reverse the population decline they were experiencing up until just last year. We helped them do that by advancing new immigration measures that were targeted to bring in the kinds of workers they need to power their economy. I have recently met with them, because we need to continue to advance measures that will help build more homes for Newfoundlanders and Labradorians.</p>\n<p data-HoCid=\"7945097\" data-originallang=\"en\">We are working to advance investments in projects that will not only cover affordable housing but help build more housing, including in the city of St. John's. We are engaged right now with the city and the province to change the way the city builds homes to provide more affordable housing options for the workforce and for people who have long called the city home.</p>",
