There was that one exchange between him and the member for <a data-HoCid=\"278446\" href=\"/politicians/marilyn-gladu/\" title=\"Marilyn Gladu\">Sarnia\u2014Lambton</a>. She started to claim that she was not a climate denier, which I found very fascinating, because, only moments before that, when she was giving a speech in this House, she made some pretty wild claims, stuff that one sees from Russian bot memes on Facebook.</p>\n<p data-HoCid=\"7961927\" data-originallang=\"en\">She said that only 7% of the population wants to have an electric car, yet in 2022, one out of every 10 vehicles was a plug-in vehicle in Canada.</p>\n<p data-HoCid=\"7961928\" data-originallang=\"en\">She also said that no one wants to be trapped in a snowstorm at -30\u00b0 because the batteries do not work. This is completely untrue. I have been driving electric vehicles here since I was elected in 2015. They work in the winter.</p>\n<p data-HoCid=\"7961929\" data-originallang=\"en\">She also said, and this is the best one, because this is the meme that one always sees, \u201cThey catch fire\u201d, as though we should be afraid of an electric car because the battery is going to catch fire.</p>\n<p data-HoCid=\"7961930\" data-originallang=\"en\">The outrage and the misinformation that is being distributed by Conservatives is what gives them the reputation that they are climate deniers.</p>\n<p data-HoCid=\"7961931\" data-originallang=\"en\">Would the member for <a data-HoCid=\"278641\" href=\"/politicians/charlie-angus/\" title=\"Charlie Angus\">Timmins\u2014James Bay</a> agree with that?</p>",

Pourtant, en 2022, 1 v\u00e9hicule sur 10 au Canada pouvait se brancher.</p>\n<p data-HoCid=\"7961928\" data-originallang=\"en\">Elle a \u00e9galement dit que personne ne veut se retrouver coinc\u00e9 dans une temp\u00eate de neige \u00e0 -30 degr\u00e9s Celsius parce que la batterie de son v\u00e9hicule ne fonctionne pas. Or, c'est compl\u00e8tement faux. Je me d\u00e9place de chez moi \u00e0 ici en v\u00e9hicule \u00e9lectrique depuis que j'ai \u00e9t\u00e9 \u00e9lu en 2015. La batterie fonctionne l'hiver.</p>\n<p data-HoCid=\"7961929\" data-originallang=\"en\">Elle a \u00e9galement dit, et c'est le bouquet, puisque c'est le m\u00e8me qui revient constamment, que les batteries \u00ab risquent de prendre feu \u00bb, laissant entendre que nous devrions avoir peur des v\u00e9hicules \u00e9lectriques parce que la batterie va prendre feu.</p>\n<p data-HoCid=\"7961930\" data-originallang=\"en\">La m\u00e9sinformation que propagent les conservateurs et les propos scandaleux qu'ils tiennent sont la source de leur r\u00e9putation de climatosceptiques.</p>\n<p data-HoCid=\"7961931\" data-originallang=\"en\">Le d\u00e9put\u00e9 de <a data-HoCid=\"278641\" href=\"/politicians/charlie-angus/\" title=\"Charlie Angus\">Timmins\u2014Baie James</a> n'est-il pas d'accord?</p>"
