        "en": "<p data-HoCid=\"7132949\" data-originallang=\"en\">Madam Speaker, what we are seeing at the crux of this is a different view of what Canadians sent us here to do and what the role of official opposition is, or of opposition generally.</p>\n<p data-HoCid=\"7132950\" data-originallang=\"en\">It is my view that Canadians sent us here in a minority government with an expectation that we are going to work together. Yes, we are going to disagree, and will do so respectfully. We are going to be voting either for or against different things, but we will be putting ideas on the table and moving them respectfully through this place. That is what Canadians' expectations are.</p>\n<p data-HoCid=\"7132951\" data-originallang=\"en\">We could knock on doors this week and have Canadians ask us what we are doing here. If we told people that dental care, the environment and housing were extremely important, what they would want to hear is that we are making sure we get to those issues, that we get to the legislation and to the debate that is going to inform the policies that are going to drive forward an agenda that is going to serve and help Canadians.</p>\n<p data-HoCid=\"7132952\" data-originallang=\"en\">I would reflect back to the members, particularly as they draw the weeks on and on and do the same thing again and again, that it is not a great message to go back to those same constituents and say, \u201cI tried to block the House from doing its work. I stood up every day and moved concurrence motions. I limited debate. I tried to make sure other elected members did not have an opportunity to engage in debate, and I tried to stop legislation from coming forward.\u201d I cannot imagine that is a very compelling narrative to give to constituents.</p>",

Si on leur dit que les soins dentaires, l'environnement et le logement sont des enjeux extr\u00eamement importants, les Canadiens voudront savoir que nous nous penchons sur ces dossiers, que nous \u00e9tudions des mesures l\u00e9gislatives et que nous tenons des d\u00e9bats qui serviront de fondement aux politiques qui guideront un programme con\u00e7u pour servir et aider les Canadiens.</p>\n<p data-HoCid=\"7132952\" data-originallang=\"en\">Je signale aux d\u00e9put\u00e9s qui, de semaine en semaine, ne cessent de multiplier les man\u0153uvres d'obstruction, qu'ils n'auront pas un tr\u00e8s bon message \u00e0 transmettre aux habitants de leur circonscription. \u00ab J'ai essay\u00e9 d'emp\u00eacher la Chambre de faire son travail. Tous les jours, j'ai pris la parole pour pr\u00e9senter des motions d'adoption de rapports. J'ai restreint le d\u00e9bat. J'ai fait de mon mieux pour que d'autres d\u00e9put\u00e9s d\u00fbment \u00e9lus n'aient pas l'occasion de prendre part au d\u00e9bat et je me suis efforc\u00e9 d'emp\u00eacher l'adoption de mesures l\u00e9gislatives. \u00bb Je doute qu'il s'agisse l\u00e0 d'un discours tr\u00e8s convaincant pour les gens des circonscriptions.</p>"
