"en": "<p data-HoCid=\"7141497\" data-originallang=\"en\">Madam Speaker, I would like to note that I really appreciate my hon. colleague's wonderful radio voice.</p>\n<p data-HoCid=\"7141498\" data-originallang=\"en\">I have to pick up on the comment by the previous speaker, my hon. colleague from the Conservative Party. I appreciate much of what was said, but I think the analogy between a radio station in the 1980s is not a completely apt metaphor for the Internet today. The average radio station listener could not add to the content or participate in generating content on the radio station. It was a one-way platform, whereas the Internet is something the public meaningfully participates in.</p>\n<p data-HoCid=\"7141499\" data-originallang=\"en\">I am interested in my hon. colleague's comments on that. More particularly, I have constituents who are concerned that there would be an attempt by the government to regulate and cause broadcasters, in this case online providers, to remove content that is deemed hateful: in other words, that requires a subjective determination. They are worried that this may lead to censorship of the Internet. I am curious about my hon. colleague's thoughts on that. Is he concerned that Bill <a data-HoCid=\"11528728\" href=\"/bills/44-1/C-11/\" title=\"An Act to amend the Broadcasting Act and to make related and consequential amendments to other Acts\">C-11</a> may lead to that consequence?</p>",

Je dois dire en particulier que certains de mes concitoyens craignent que le gouvernement essaie de r\u00e9glementer et d\u2019amener les radiodiffuseurs, en l\u2019occurrence les fournisseurs en ligne, \u00e0 retirer le contenu jug\u00e9 haineux; autrement dit, ils craignent que le contenu ne fasse l\u2019objet d\u2019une \u00e9valuation subjective. Ils redoutent que cela ne d\u00e9bouche sur la censure d\u2019Internet. Je suis curieux de savoir ce qu\u2019en pense mon coll\u00e8gue.
