"en": "<p data-HoCid=\"7102378\" data-originallang=\"en\">Madam Speaker, during my hon. colleague's statement, I heard of investments by this government related to housing, but I really want to outline some of the housing problems we are currently facing. </p>\n<p data-HoCid=\"7102379\" data-originallang=\"en\">Since the Chr\u00e9tien Liberal government cut CMHC's mandate to build social housing, we have been on track to have a social housing shortage. We are feeling it right now. People in my community in Edmonton Griesbach cannot get the housing they need. People are working more than one job. They are working three or four jobs just to pay rent right now. </p>\n<p data-HoCid=\"7102380\" data-originallang=\"en\">The promise by this government to build just 6,000 new co-operatives falls well short of the necessary 300,000 units. Will this government do what is right and make sure that families have roofs over their heads?</p>",

Nous la ressentons d\u00e9j\u00e0, cette p\u00e9nurie. Les gens d'Edmonton Griesbach ne trouvent pas le logement dont ils ont besoin. Ils ont plus d\u2019un emploi. Ils cumulent trois ou quatre emplois pour arriver \u00e0 payer leur loyer.</p>\n<p data-HoCid=\"7102380\" data-originallang=\"en\">Les 6 000 nouvelles coop\u00e9ratives que le gouvernement a promis de construire sont bien en de\u00e7\u00e0 des 300 000 logements n\u00e9cessaires. Le gouvernement fera-t-il ce qui s\u2019impose et veillera-t-il \u00e0 donner un toit aux familles?</p>"
