That is called parliamentary democracy.</p>\n<p data-HoCid=\"7437705\" data-originallang=\"fr\">The opposition parties, or at least the Conservatives and the Bloc Qu\u00e9b\u00e9cois, noticed a few things missing from the economic update, such as support for seniors 65 and up and support for seasonal workers. Those workers contributed to EI, but now the number of qualifying hours they have to work to be eligible for EI benefits has changed.</p>\n<p data-HoCid=\"7437706\" data-originallang=\"fr\">It is important to get the space we need to debate all that, share proposals with the government and potentially improve the bill. I could hardly believe my ears when I heard the <a data-HoCid=\"214329\" href=\"/politicians/diane-lebouthillier/\" title=\"Diane Lebouthillier\">Minister of National Revenue</a> express astonishment that the opposition parties do not want to rush this bill through and are not supportive of the time allocation motion. She accused them of being mentally unstable.</p>\n<p data-HoCid=\"7437707\" data-originallang=\"fr\">That is pretty serious. The minister said that last spring in response to an opposition colleague, and she did it again on a local radio station in Gasp\u00e9.</p>\n<p data-HoCid=\"7437708\" data-originallang=\"fr\">I wonder if my colleague supports those statements and agrees with her.</p>",

Cela me fait tomber en bas de ma chaise lorsque j'entends la <a data-HoCid=\"214329\" href=\"/politicians/diane-lebouthillier/\" title=\"Diane Lebouthillier\">ministre du Revenu national</a> s'\u00e9tonner du fait que les partis de l'opposition ne veulent pas adopter \u00e0 toute vapeur ce projet de loi, qu'ils ne se montrent pas d'accord sur la motion d'attribution de temps. Elle les a accus\u00e9s d'avoir des troubles mentaux.</p>\n<p data-HoCid=\"7437707\" data-originallang=\"fr\">C'est assez grave. La ministre l'a fait une fois au printemps dernier en r\u00e9ponse \u00e0 un coll\u00e8gue de l'opposition, et l'a refait dans une station de radio locale, en Gasp\u00e9sie.</p>\n<p data-HoCid=\"7437708\" data-originallang=\"fr\">Je me demande si mon coll\u00e8gue appuie ces propos et s'il est d'accord avec elle.</p>"
