        "en": "<p data-HoCid=\"6620101\" data-originallang=\"en\">Mr. Speaker, I thank the hon. member for her dedication to this process. I am glad that she brought up the process last time for Bill <a data-HoCid=\"8160636\" href=\"/bills/42-1/C-262/\" title=\"An Act to ensure that the laws of Canada are in harmony with the United Nations Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples\">C-262</a>, under the leadership of Romeo Saganash, where we did get it through all three readings in the House and then it died in the Senate. We do not want this bill to have the same fate. The composition of the Senate is different now. In particular, thanks to our government, there is a great deal of indigenous leadership within the Senate itself, which is absolutely fantastic and a wonderful point in Canadian history.</p>\n<p data-HoCid=\"6620102\" data-originallang=\"en\">Again, I do not want perfection to become the enemy of the good. We have had a robust consultation process. That robust consultation process will continue through the rest of the parliamentary process and through the Senate process. In particular, that robust engagement and collaboration process will be part of the bill once it is implemented in the action plan. This is a positive way forward. This is long overdue. There are no surprises in the bill, and this is the time to do our best as parliamentarians to move this forward and engage in those substantive debates as we move forward through the action plan.</p>",

Signalons notamment que, gr\u00e2ce au gouvernement lib\u00e9ral, le S\u00e9nat compte maintenant un nombre consid\u00e9rable de s\u00e9nateurs autochtones, ce qui est fantastique. Le processus de consultation est solide et il se poursuivra pendant le reste du processus parlementaire, y compris pendant les travaux du S\u00e9nat. Soulignons que ce solide processus de participation et de collaboration fera partie du projet de loi lorsqu'il sera mis en \u0153uvre avec le plan d'action. C'est une bonne fa\u00e7on de proc\u00e9der. Le projet de loi se fait attendre depuis trop longtemps. Il ne contient aucune surprise.
