I also commend him for his speech.</p>\n<p data-HoCid=\"6066952\" data-originallang=\"fr\">In my view, we must make a distinction between people whose death is reasonably foreseeable and those whose death is not reasonably foreseeable. I believe the 90-day period could be 75 days or 120 days. I believe that 90 days is a good compromise, but there is an exception. For people who obtain all the necessary authorizations from a doctor to have access to medical assistance in dying and who will lose the capacity to consent, there is an exception in the legislation that allows the waiting period to be shorter than 90 days. I believe that is a good step forward. I imagine we could propose amendments on this at the Standing Committee on Justice and Human Rights. Those amendments will be studied by the committee. </p>",
