I look to some of the environmental bills that we have dealt with in the past, such as Bill <a data-HoCid=\"8936657\" href=\"/bills/42-1/C-48/\" title=\"An Act respecting the regulation of vessels that transport crude oil or persistent oil to or from ports or marine installations located along British Columbia's north coast\">C-48</a> and Bill <a data-HoCid=\"9630600\" href=\"/bills/42-1/C-69/\" title=\"An Act to enact the Impact Assessment Act and the Canadian Energy Regulator Act, to amend the Navigation Protection Act and to make consequential amendments to other Acts\">C-69</a>, for example, where the minister has the ultimate say. The power is not distributed among Parliament or even within the government, but within the executive branch. I am not surprised by that assertion, quite frankly, given the history of this government.</p>\n<p data-HoCid=\"6426701\" data-originallang=\"en\">Secondly, the example in P.E.I. speaks to the insatiable appetite that people have for news, not just national or international news, but local news as well. It is not surprising to me when people push back as they did in P.E.I. They are seeking the truth as well.</p>",
