"en": "<p data-HoCid=\"6328108\" data-originallang=\"fr\">Madam Speaker, I thank my colleague for his question.</p>\n<p data-HoCid=\"6328109\" data-originallang=\"fr\">Of course we did a lot of research when preparing Bill <a data-HoCid=\"10866095\" href=\"/bills/43-2/C-215/\" title=\"An Act respecting Canada\u2019s fulfillment of its greenhouse gas emissions reduction obligations\">C-215</a>. It is based on an international agreement among a number of countries, the Paris Agreement. Canada ratified this agreement but is not obligated to enforce it in its domestic law. This bill would force Canada to be accountable on climate change.</p>\n<p data-HoCid=\"6328110\" data-originallang=\"fr\">The Standing Committee on Environment and Sustainable Development is already conducting major studies and will be assigned others if this bill moves forward. I would be happy to talk to my colleague about that if he wants.</p>",
