I had hoped to put it to our former minister of trade, the member for <a data-HoCid=\"252933\" href=\"/politicians/ed-fast/\" title=\"Ed Fast\">Abbotsford</a>.</p>\n<p data-HoCid=\"6350779\" data-originallang=\"en\">The discussion of the Canada-China foreign protection and promotion of investment accord comes up a bit in this debate. We really do need to have it studied in committee. By virtue of the fact that it was brought through and approved as a treaty without a piece of legislation, never debated or studied in Parliament nor in any parliamentary committee, members do not recognize that it actually cemented in place unfair rules in the People's Republic of China vis-\u00e0-vis Canadian companies, and gives China access and punishment regimes in secret.</p>\n<p data-HoCid=\"6350780\" data-originallang=\"en\">Would the hon. parliamentary secretary commit, as we are bound by it for 31 years, to actually studying what we are required to respect in the Canada-China FIPA?</p>",

Comme il avait \u00e9t\u00e9 pr\u00e9sent\u00e9 et approuv\u00e9 en tant que trait\u00e9 sans que l\u2019on ait \u00e0 l\u00e9gif\u00e9rer, il n\u2019a jamais fait l\u2019objet de d\u00e9bat ou d\u2019\u00e9tude au Parlement ni en comit\u00e9 parlementaire. Les d\u00e9put\u00e9s ne savent pas que ce trait\u00e9 a en fait solidifi\u00e9 des r\u00e8gles injustes \u00e0 l\u2019endroit d\u2019entreprises canadiennes en R\u00e9publique populaire de Chine et qu\u2019il octroie \u00e0 la Chine des r\u00e9gimes d\u2019acc\u00e8s et de sanction en secret.</p>\n<p data-HoCid=\"6350780\" data-originallang=\"en\">Le secr\u00e9taire parlementaire s\u2019engagerait-il \u00e0 \u00e9tudier r\u00e9ellement ce que nous sommes tenus de respecter dans le cadre de cet accord entre le Canada et la Chine, puisque nous sommes li\u00e9s par celui-ci pour 31 ans?</p>"
