As the previous speaker mentioned, there were two sessions of debate on this. The issue is not whether we should do these studies; the issue is how and in what manner will we do them.</p>\n<p data-HoCid=\"6298486\" data-originallang=\"en\"> As I stated in my speech, when the motion on mental health was rejected, it was quite surprising to see it as part of the omnibus motion. The key thing is that the scope of the motion is so large and the number of documents it needs to produce is so inhibiting that it will take our focus from doing surgical activities at the committee as well as serving the Canadian people.</p>",
