"en": "<p data-HoCid=\"5981189\" data-originallang=\"en\">Madam Speaker, I certainly appreciate the member opposite's work, along with other members such as me, on the Standing Committee on Industry, Science and Technology.</p>\n<p data-HoCid=\"5981190\" data-originallang=\"en\">Last week, the <a data-HoCid=\"214319\" href=\"/politicians/navdeep-bains/\" title=\"Navdeep Bains\">Minister of Innovation, Science and Economic Development</a> dropped a bomb, not literally but metaphorically, on the fixed wireless providers due to the new announced changes to the 3,500 megahertz spectrum auction. The government is going to be clawing back from rural areas and repurposing that, which is the first time this has ever happened. In previous years, if providers did not follow through with the conditions, that could have been possible. This is the first time the government has ever done this.</p>\n<p data-HoCid=\"5981191\" data-originallang=\"en\">This policy will either cause service to be lost, because spectrum runs the system, or it will put a permanent cap on the growth of those wireless providers that are offering competition to the other large telecom providers.</p>\n<p data-HoCid=\"5981192\" data-originallang=\"en\"> I would like to hear the member comment on this. I know he is a great advocate for e-health and other innovations, but this will be very harmful to local economies.</p>",

Je sais qu\u2019il d\u00e9fend avec vigueur la cybersant\u00e9 et d\u2019autres innovations, mais cette politique nuira beaucoup aux \u00e9conomies locales.</p>"
