"en": "<p data-HoCid=\"5799675\" data-originallang=\"en\">Madam Speaker, it is a pleasure to have the opportunity to again speak to Bill <a data-HoCid=\"9847536\" href=\"/bills/42-1/C-77/\" title=\"An Act to amend the National Defence Act and to make related and consequential amendments to other Acts\">C-77</a>. This is important legislation that I believe has a good amount of support from all sides of the House.</p>\n<p data-HoCid=\"5799676\" data-originallang=\"en\">Before I get into the heart of my remarks today, I want to take a few moments to applaud the hon. member for <a data-HoCid=\"214558\" href=\"/politicians/jody-wilson-raybould/\" title=\"Jody Wilson-Raybould\">Vancouver Granville</a>, the former attorney general, for the courage she showed yesterday at the justice committee. All Canadians have been watching this story very closely. The hon. member laid out a very clear picture of what has happened.</p>\n<p data-HoCid=\"5799677\" data-originallang=\"en\"> It is now crystal clear that the <a data-HoCid=\"214296\" href=\"/politicians/justin-trudeau/\" title=\"Justin Trudeau\">Prime Minister</a> and his office carried out a coordinated effort to try to obstruct the prosecution of SNC-Lavalin. It is shameful, and it needs to be looked into further.</p>\n<p data-HoCid=\"5799678\" data-originallang=\"en\"> The Criminal Code defines the charge of obstructing justice as anyone who \u201cwilfully attempts in any manner to obstruct, pervert or defeat the course of justice in a judicial proceeding.\u201d Applying sustained pressure to the former <a data-HoCid=\"214558\" href=\"/politicians/jody-wilson-raybould/\" title=\"Jody Wilson-Raybould\">attorney general</a> once she had already made the decision to proceed to trial would 100% constitute a wilful attempt to obstruct, pervert or defeat the course of justice.</p>\n<p data-HoCid=\"5799679\" data-originallang=\"en\">The RCMP needs to look into this and needs to hold all of those responsible accountable for their actions, including the <a data-HoCid=\"214296\" href=\"/politicians/justin-trudeau/\" title=\"Justin Trudeau\">Prime Minister</a>. The buck stops with him. It was his office and people in his government who carried out this pressure, and he needs to own up to it, something he is not very good at.</p>\n<p data-HoCid=\"5799680\" data-originallang=\"en\">Further, the <a data-HoCid=\"214296\" href=\"/politicians/justin-trudeau/\" title=\"Justin Trudeau\">Prime Minister</a> has to agree to call for a public inquiry so all Canadians can once again have faith in an independent judiciary.</p>",

Tous les Canadiens ont suivi cette histoire de tr\u00e8s pr\u00e8s. La d\u00e9put\u00e9e nous a peint un tableau tr\u00e8s clair de ce qui s\u2019est pass\u00e9.</p>\n<p data-HoCid=\"5799677\" data-originallang=\"en\">Il est maintenant on ne peut plus clair que le <a data-HoCid=\"214296\" href=\"/politicians/justin-trudeau/\" title=\"Justin Trudeau\">premier ministre</a> et son bureau ont entrepris de concert d\u2019essayer d\u2019entraver la poursuite de SNC-Lavalin. C\u2019est honteux et il y a lieu de s\u2019y pencher de plus pr\u00e8s.</p>\n<p data-HoCid=\"5799678\" data-originallang=\"en\">Le Code criminel d\u00e9finit l\u2019accusation d\u2019entrave \u00e0 la justice comme quiconque volontairement tente de quelque mani\u00e8re d\u2019entraver, de d\u00e9tourner ou de contrecarrer le cours de la justice dans une proc\u00e9dure judiciaire. Presser de fa\u00e7on soutenue l\u2019ancienne <a data-HoCid=\"214558\" href=\"/politicians/jody-wilson-raybould/\" title=\"Jody Wilson-Raybould\">procureure g\u00e9n\u00e9rale</a> lorsqu\u2019elle avait d\u00e9j\u00e0 pris la d\u00e9cision d\u2019aller en proc\u00e8s serait tout \u00e0 fait tenter volontairement d\u2019entraver, de d\u00e9tourner ou de contrecarrer le cours de la justice. </p>\n<p data-HoCid=\"5799679\" data-originallang=\"en\">La GRC doit voir de quoi il en retourne et obliger tous les responsables \u00e0 r\u00e9pondre de leurs actions, y compris le <a data-HoCid=\"214296\" href=\"/politicians/justin-trudeau/\" title=\"Justin Trudeau\">premier ministre</a>. C\u2019est lui l\u2019ultime responsable. C\u2019est son bureau et les membres de son gouvernement qui ont exerc\u00e9 cette pression, il doit l\u2019admettre et \u00e7a ne va pas de soi pour lui.</p>\n<p data-HoCid=\"5799680\" data-originallang=\"en\">Le <a data-HoCid=\"214296\" href=\"/politicians/justin-trudeau/\" title=\"Justin Trudeau\">premier ministre</a> doit accepter de demander la tenue d\u2019une enqu\u00eate publique pour que tous les Canadiens puissent faire \u00e0 nouveau confiance \u00e0 un pouvoir judiciaire ind\u00e9pendant.</p>"
