The device that was approved was thoroughly tested by that committee and was subjected to significant testing by the National Research Council. The RCMP, the OPP, the S\u00fbret\u00e9 de Qu\u00e9bec, large municipal police services and small municipal services across the country have begun to use this test. It has been field tested in Canadian circumstances.</p>\n<p data-HoCid=\"5527354\" data-originallang=\"en\"> This is precisely what Canadian police chiefs asked us to provide. They were met with indifference by the opposition when they asked, but we listened. </p>",
