The question I have for her relates to how necessary this legislation is. We understand and appreciate how important it was that the department did a lot of consultations leading up to the introduction of the legislation. It is very important that we do this major overhaul and reform to modernize our justice system, which is long overdue, as she put it. Could the member provide some insight into just how important it is that we see this legislation today?</p>",
