We should make those investments. We have a lot of evidence, for example, on universal, affordable child care. The International Monetary Fund, the Conference Board of Canada, and the Governor of the Bank of Canada are all saying to invest here and it will pay dividends.</p>\n<p data-HoCid=\"5311591\" data-originallang=\"en\">However, I will note another win that we got in the budget that we do credit the government for. We have been asking for years that Status of Women Canada be made a full ministry. It was in the 2011 and 2015 NDP platform to make it a full ministry. Our colleague, the member of Parliament for <a data-HoCid=\"214129\" href=\"/politicians/daniel-blaikie/\" title=\"Daniel Blaikie\">Elmwood\u2014Transcona</a>, had been pushing for it in this Parliament very actively. We are glad to see the government finally take our advice. </p>",
