"en": "<p data-HoCid=\"5291671\" data-originallang=\"fr\">Mr. Speaker, I always enjoy listening to my colleague from <a data-HoCid=\"214268\" href=\"/politicians/guy-caron/\" title=\"Guy Caron\">Rimouski-Neigette\u2014T\u00e9miscouata\u2014Les Basques</a>.</p>\n<p data-HoCid=\"5291672\" data-originallang=\"fr\">I have a great deal of respect and esteem for my colleague, the leader of the second opposition in the House of Commons, particularly for the courage and resolve the NDP showed two and a half years ago when it told Canadian taxpayers, in a realistic and responsible manner, that budgets need to be balanced.</p>\n<p data-HoCid=\"5291673\" data-originallang=\"fr\">Many will recall the sad day when the Liberals promised the opposite. When I say \u201cthe sad day\u201d, to clarify, I do believe in democracy and I respect the will of the people, but the reality is that those folks over there were elected on a promise to run a small $6-billion deficit, for example, in 2018 and magically return to a balanced budget in 2019. The reality is that the deficit is three times higher, and worse still, we have no idea when we will return to a balanced budget. </p>\n<p data-HoCid=\"5291674\" data-originallang=\"fr\">My question for the NDP parliamentary leader is this: what does he think of the deficit? More importantly, what does he think of those people who are now doing the opposite of what they promised they would do during the election? </p>",

Quand je dis \u00ab de triste m\u00e9moire \u00bb, je suis d\u00e9mocrate et je respecte le choix des citoyens, mais la r\u00e9alit\u00e9, c'est que ces gens se sont fait \u00e9lire en promettant un tout petit d\u00e9ficit de 6 milliards de dollars, par exemple, pour l'ann\u00e9e 2018 et un retour magique \u00e0 l'\u00e9quilibre budg\u00e9taire en 2019. La r\u00e9alit\u00e9, c'est que les d\u00e9ficits sont trois fois plus \u00e9lev\u00e9s, et pire encore, on n'a aucune id\u00e9e de quand aura lieu le retour \u00e0 l'\u00e9quilibre budg\u00e9taire. </p>\n<p data-HoCid=\"5291674\" data-originallang=\"fr\">Ma question s'adresse au chef parlementaire du NPD: quelle est sa vision par rapport au d\u00e9ficit? Surtout, quelle est sa vision devant ces gens qui se sont fait \u00e9lire en promettant une chose et en faisant le contraire?</p>"
