It has been 10 years since its adoption by the UN General Assembly. </p>\n<p data-HoCid=\"4955073\" data-originallang=\"en\">Last December, the <a data-HoCid=\"214296\" href=\"/politicians/justin-trudeau/\" title=\"Justin Trudeau\">Prime Minister </a>promised all chiefs, once again, that he remained committed to its adoption and implementation, yet on Monday, the Prime Minister suggested that the declaration would be tantamount to colonial imposition. How can the declaration be imposed on us if we wrote it? Which is it, yes or no, will the government support Bill <a data-HoCid=\"8160636\" href=\"/bills/42-1/C-262/\" title=\"An Act to ensure that the laws of Canada are in harmony with the United Nations Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples\">C-262</a>?</p>",
