We are talking about conflicts of interest and a concern for transparency. For more than two years, the government has been talking about a new era of transparency, but we are nevertheless spending a day talking about a potential conflict of interest and a minister who was unable or who supposedly forgot to declare certain assets.</p>\n<p data-HoCid=\"5148642\" data-originallang=\"fr\">I would like to ask my colleague whether the <a data-HoCid=\"214320\" href=\"/politicians/bill-morneau/\" title=\"Bill Morneau\">Minister of Finance</a> improperly used the loophole in the Conflict of Interest Act for personal gain, and whether this loophole should be closed immediately. I would like to hear what my colleague has to say about that.</p>",

Depuis plus de deux ans, on entend le gouvernement parler d'une nouvelle \u00e8re de transparence, mais on passe quand m\u00eame une journ\u00e9e \u00e0 parler d'une situation de conflit d'int\u00e9r\u00eats potentielle et d'un ministre qui n'a pas pu d\u00e9clarer ou qui a soi-disant oubli\u00e9 de d\u00e9clarer certains biens ou certains actifs. </p>\n<p data-HoCid=\"5148642\" data-originallang=\"fr\">Je voudrais demander \u00e0 mon coll\u00e8gue si le <a data-HoCid=\"214320\" href=\"/politicians/bill-morneau/\" title=\"Bill Morneau\">ministre des Finances</a> a profit\u00e9 abusivement de l'\u00e9chappatoire dans la Loi sur les conflits d'int\u00e9r\u00eats pour en tirer personnellement un avantage financier, et si cette \u00e9chappatoire devrait \u00eatre abolie imm\u00e9diatement. J'aimerais entendre l'avis de mon coll\u00e8gue \u00e0 ce sujet.</p>"
