We are both involved in our communities and in politics, as evidenced by our presence here as members of the House of Commons.</p>\n<p data-HoCid=\"5147850\" data-originallang=\"fr\">At the very beginning of his term in office, I remember the member for Louis-H\u00e9bert telling the media loud and clear that he wanted to fight cynicism, which he felt was rampant in our society. Perhaps if he takes a step back, he will see that he is not living up to that ideal and that he is actually contributing to the cynicism he says he wants to fight. </p>\n<p data-HoCid=\"5147851\" data-originallang=\"fr\">Although his government has done some things that make sense and are good for Canadians, today we are debating a very important motion, one that will help fight cynicism and make the <a data-HoCid=\"214320\" href=\"/politicians/bill-morneau/\" title=\"Bill Morneau\">Minister of Finance</a> realize that he has done things to undermine Canadians' confidence.</p>\n<p data-HoCid=\"5147852\" data-originallang=\"fr\">The member for <a data-HoCid=\"214021\" href=\"/politicians/joel-lightbound/\" title=\"Jo\u00ebl Lightbound\">Louis-H\u00e9bert</a> came very close to having a question of privilege raised against him, which is very serious, when he shamelessly said that the Minister of Finance had disclosed everything to the Ethics Commissioner, which was not the case. He did not disclose his villa in France, which earned him a $200 fine. I would therefore ask the member for Louis-H\u00e9bert to redeem himself and to openly acknowledge that he knows that today we are debating one very specific thing, namely the Minister of Finance's responsibility to be 100% ethically clean. What we want him to do as parliamentary secretary is to assure us that the Minister of Finance does not have any assets that could put him in a conflict of interest situation. </p>",

Ce serait peut-\u00eatre bien qu'il r\u00e9alise qu'il se distance un peu de sa propre personne aujourd'hui, qu'il prenne du recul et qu'il constate qu'il s'inscrit dans ce cynisme qu'il tente de combattre.</p>\n<p data-HoCid=\"5147851\" data-originallang=\"fr\">Je peux comprendre que son gouvernement ait accompli certaines choses qui sont peut-\u00eatre l\u00e9gitimes et favorables pour les Canadiens. Toutefois, nous d\u00e9battons aujourd'hui d'une motion qui est tr\u00e8s importante, non seulement pour combattre le cynisme, mais aussi pour que le <a data-HoCid=\"214320\" href=\"/politicians/bill-morneau/\" title=\"Bill Morneau\">ministre des Finances</a> prenne conscience, de mani\u00e8re tangible, des gestes qu'il a pos\u00e9s au d\u00e9triment de la confiance des Canadiens.</p>\n<p data-HoCid=\"5147852\" data-originallang=\"fr\">Le d\u00e9put\u00e9 de <a data-HoCid=\"214021\" href=\"/politicians/joel-lightbound/\" title=\"Jo\u00ebl Lightbound\">Louis-H\u00e9bert</a> est m\u00eame presque pass\u00e9 pr\u00e8s d'une question de privil\u00e8ge \u00e0 l'encontre de sa propre personne, ce qui est tr\u00e8s grave, puisqu'il a mentionn\u00e9, sans vergogne, que le ministre des Finances avait tout d\u00e9voil\u00e9 \u00e0 la commissaire \u00e0 l'\u00e9thique, ce qui n'est pas le cas. Il n'avait pas d\u00e9voil\u00e9 sa villa en France, ce qui lui a valu une amende de 200 $. Je demanderais donc au d\u00e9put\u00e9 de Louis-H\u00e9bert de se reprendre \u00e0 cet \u00e9gard et de nous dire de mani\u00e8re transparente qu'il sait que nous d\u00e9battons aujourd'hui d'une chose bien pr\u00e9cise, soit la responsabilit\u00e9 du ministre des Finances d'\u00eatre \u00e0 100 % propre sur le plan de l'\u00e9thique. Ce que nous voulons, c'est qu'en tant que secr\u00e9taire parlementaire, il nous assure que le ministre des Finances n'a aucune autre action qui pourrait le mettre dans une position de conflit d'int\u00e9r\u00eats.</p>"
