Our government has been very clear that this is a national public health crisis in Canada, and we are responding in a way that is collaborative, compassionate, and comprehensive.</p>\n<p data-HoCid=\"5061948\" data-originallang=\"en\"> In addition to passing Bill <a data-HoCid=\"8689350\" href=\"/bills/42-1/C-37/\" title=\"An Act to amend the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act and to make related amendments to other Acts\">C-37</a>, which streamlines the application process for supervised consumption sites, we are also providing over $10 million in urgent support to British Columbia to assist with its response to the opioid crisis.</p>\n<p data-HoCid=\"5061949\" data-originallang=\"en\">Our government will continue to bring forward evidence-based solutions to help save lives in Canada.</p>",
