Only 26% of the folks in this place are women, and that is the highest level we have ever had.</p>\n<p data-HoCid=\"4329664\" data-originallang=\"en\">We are ranked 61st in the world when it comes to gender equity. Places like Afghanistan, Iraq, and Kazakhstan have all passed us on the list because they have undertaken similar measures. </p>\n<p data-HoCid=\"4329665\" data-originallang=\"en\">The bill that I have put forward is a small nudge for political parties. It is not at all controlling for internal party processes. I would urge my colleague and everyone in the House to look at this and show that the face we are showing the world needs to change in the House.</p>",
