        "en": "<p data-HoCid=\"4165869\" data-originallang=\"en\">Mr. Speaker, it is truly an honour to rise in the House today for my last statement in this beautiful chamber, a place where I have had the good fortune of serving for 15 years.</p>\n<p data-HoCid=\"4165870\" data-originallang=\"en\">At the outset, let me thank all of those within this House and outside the House for their tremendous good wishes over the last number of days.</p>\n<p data-HoCid=\"4165871\" data-originallang=\"en\">I want to thank a number of people today. I want to thank the people of the ridings of <a data-HoCid=\"170439\" href=\"/politicians/james-rajotte/\" title=\"James Rajotte\">Edmonton\u2014Leduc</a> and Edmonton Southwest, whom I have been privileged to represent over the last five terms. I thank them for their confidence and for their support for me.</p>\n<p data-HoCid=\"4165872\" data-originallang=\"en\">I wish to thank the many volunteers and supporters who helped me during this period: the constituents who provided me constant feedback and guidance and the supporters who are like a family to me, many of whom supported me for the entire time. </p>\n<p data-HoCid=\"4165873\" data-originallang=\"en\">I would like to thank my present and past colleagues on both sides of this House for their passionate love of our country, their commitment to making it better and their kindness toward me. They are friends for life.</p>\n<p data-HoCid=\"4165874\" data-originallang=\"en\">I would like to thank and express my sincere appreciation to the many wonderful people who have worked in my offices in Edmonton and Ottawa for their incredible service to our constituency and our country. </p>\n<p data-HoCid=\"4165875\" data-originallang=\"en\">I may get very emotional here. I want to thank Debbie Healy for 15 years of amazing service to me. Debbie and I are part of the same family now. I just love being part of her extended family and I thank her so much. I thank Kim Dohmann, who has served me for 15 years as well in such an extraordinary capacity. I thank Willii Burgess, who served me for 10 years and worked with me for another five years. I thank all of my current staff, Samantha Johnston, the communications whiz, Lene Jorgensen, Carmel Harris, Trevor Rogers, who have done such an outstanding job for all the constituents. They are so much part of my success. </p>\n<p data-HoCid=\"4165876\" data-originallang=\"en\">Two of my staff who were very colourful in my past are here today: the lovely and talented Michele Austin, and Bryan Rogers, about whom I will not tell any stories here because that would not be appropriate in this chamber, but I thank them so much for being here today.</p>\n<p data-HoCid=\"4165877\" data-originallang=\"en\">I also want to thank my family and friends for their unconditional love, their support, the friendship they have given me in this fantastic journey through politics, particularly my heroes: my parents, Ron and Elaine Rajotte. I am more like my dad today than my mom. My mom is the strong one; my dad is the guy who cries at everything.</p>\n<p data-HoCid=\"4165878\" data-originallang=\"en\">I believe more profoundly today than I did when I entered Parliament that Canada is the best country in the world, a place where we can fulfill our deepest hopes and aspirations and be a light and example for the world. </p>\n<p data-HoCid=\"4165879\" data-originallang=\"en\">I want to end by saying this. There are a lot of comments about political life and politicians that occur here today and a lot of cynicism. After 15 years of serving with people in this place, people who volunteer in politics, I have more faith in those people who are in politics, who volunteer in politics. It is a noble endeavour. It is making this country a better place. This is the best country in the world. We can continue to make it better. </p>\n<p data-HoCid=\"4165880\" data-originallang=\"en\">I thank all those in the chamber and outside of the chamber for their service. It has been a wonderful path for me. I genuinely appreciate it.</p>\n<p data-HoCid=\"4165881\" data-originallang=\"fr\">Thank you very much, and goodbye.</p>",

Ce sera ma derni\u00e8re intervention en cette Chambre, o\u00f9 j'ai eu la chance de travailler pendant 15 ans.</p>\n<p data-HoCid=\"4165870\" data-originallang=\"en\">Pour commencer, j'aimerais remercier tous ceux qui, \u00e0 la Chambre ou ailleurs, m'ont transmis leurs meilleurs voeux au cours des derniers jours.</p>\n<p data-HoCid=\"4165871\" data-originallang=\"en\">Je tiens \u00e0 remercier un certain nombre de personnes aujourd'hui. Je veux remercier les r\u00e9sidants des circonscriptions d'<a data-HoCid=\"170439\" href=\"/politicians/james-rajotte/\" title=\"James Rajotte\">Edmonton\u2014Leduc</a> et d'Edmonton-Sud-Ouest. J'ai eu le privil\u00e8ge de les repr\u00e9senter pendant cinq mandats et je les remercie de m'avoir fait confiance et de m'avoir appuy\u00e9.</p>\n<p data-HoCid=\"4165872\" data-originallang=\"en\">Je veux aussi remercier les nombreux b\u00e9n\u00e9voles et partisans qui m'ont aid\u00e9 quand j'\u00e9tais en poste, les \u00e9lecteurs, qui n'ont jamais cess\u00e9 de me transmettre leurs commentaires et leurs conseils, ainsi que les partisans qui sont devenus comme ma famille \u2014 bon nombre d'entre eux m'ont appuy\u00e9 du d\u00e9but \u00e0 la fin de ma carri\u00e8re.</p>\n<p data-HoCid=\"4165873\" data-originallang=\"en\">J'aimerais remercier mes coll\u00e8gues des deux c\u00f4t\u00e9s de la Chambre, anciens et actuels, pour leur amour inconditionnel du Canada, pour leur engagement \u00e0 en faire un meilleur pays, et pour leur gentillesse \u00e0 mon \u00e9gard. Nous sommes maintenant amis pour la vie.</p>\n<p data-HoCid=\"4165874\" data-originallang=\"en\">Je remercie sinc\u00e8rement les nombreuses personnes extraordinaires qui ont travaill\u00e9 au sein de mes bureaux d'Edmonton et d'Ottawa. Elles ont servi notre circonscription et notre pays de fa\u00e7on remarquable.</p>\n<p data-HoCid=\"4165875\" data-originallang=\"en\">Il se peut que l'\u00e9motion m'\u00e9treigne. Je tiens \u00e0 remercier Debbie Healy, qui, pendant 15 ans, m'a servi de fa\u00e7on exceptionnelle. Debbie et moi sommes maintenant membres de la m\u00eame famille. Je les remercie beaucoup d'\u00eatre ici aujourd'hui.</p>\n<p data-HoCid=\"4165877\" data-originallang=\"en\">Je tiens \u00e9galement \u00e0 remercier ma famille et mes amis de l'amour inconditionnel, du soutien et de l'amiti\u00e9 dont ils m'ont gratifi\u00e9 tout au long de ce voyage fantastique dans l'univers politique, plus particuli\u00e8rement mes h\u00e9ros, c'est-\u00e0-dire mes parents, Ron et Elaine Rajotte. Aujourd'hui, je me sens plus comme mon p\u00e8re que ma m\u00e8re. Ma m\u00e8re est la plus forte des deux; mon p\u00e8re pleure pour un rien.</p>\n<p data-HoCid=\"4165878\" data-originallang=\"en\">Aujourd'hui, encore plus qu'\u00e0 mon arriv\u00e9e au Parlement, je suis convaincu que le Canada est le meilleur pays du monde, un phare et un exemple pour le reste du monde, un endroit o\u00f9 nous pouvons concr\u00e9tiser nos espoirs les plus grands et nos aspirations les plus profondes.</p>\n<p data-HoCid=\"4165879\" data-originallang=\"en\">Pour conclure, je tiens \u00e0 mettre quelque chose au point. Il se dit beaucoup de choses de nos jours sur la vie politique et les politiciens. Le cynisme est grand. Or, apr\u00e8s 15 ans de service dans cette enceinte, je crois plus que jamais en ces gens qui \u00e9voluent dans la sph\u00e8re politique, qui font don de leurs temps pour la politique. C'est noble. Ils font de ce pays un endroit o\u00f9 il fait bon vivre. Aucun autre pays n'arrive \u00e0 la cheville du Canada, mais nous pouvons continuer \u00e0 l'am\u00e9liorer encore davantage.</p>\n<p data-HoCid=\"4165880\" data-originallang=\"en\">Je remercie de leur travail toutes les personnes qui se trouvent dans cette enceinte et \u00e0 l'ext\u00e9rieur de la Chambre. Je leur suis sinc\u00e8rement reconnaissant de m'avoir permis de suivre une voie aussi inoubliable.</p>\n<p data-HoCid=\"4165881\" data-originallang=\"fr\">Merci beaucoup et au revoir.</p>"
