"en": "<p class=\"procedural\" data-HoCid=\"4155556\"> moved for leave to introduce Bill <a data-HoCid=\"8029282\" href=\"/bills/41-2/C-692/\" title=\"An Act respecting a federal framework on the proper use of prescription drugs and establishing National Prescription Drug Drop-off Day\">C-692, An Act respecting a federal framework on the proper use of prescription drugs and establishing National Prescription Drug Drop-off Day</a>.</p>\n<p data-HoCid=\"4155557\" data-originallang=\"en\">Mr. Speaker, thank you for this opportunity to present to the House a bill that would create a federal framework that responds to the need for the proper use of prescription drugs and would create a national prescription drug drop-off day. </p>\n<p data-HoCid=\"4155558\" data-originallang=\"en\">This responds to rising trends such as the fact that Canadians are the second largest per capita users of opioids in the world, and that we have rising rates of fatalities and hospital visits relating to improper prescription drug use. This is supported by the Canadian Association of Chiefs of Police and by the national association of pharmacists, and I am pleased to be working very closely with the health minister, the member for <a data-HoCid=\"170498\" href=\"/politicians/terence-young/\" title=\"Terence Young\">Oakville</a>, and the member for <a data-HoCid=\"170736\" href=\"/politicians/david-wilks/\" title=\"David Wilks\">Kootenay\u2014Columbia</a>, who all together represent many Canadians who share this concern. Il a l'appui de l\u2019Association canadienne des chefs de police et de l\u2019Association des pharmaciens du Canada. Par ailleurs, j'ai le plaisir de travailler en \u00e9troite collaboration avec les d\u00e9put\u00e9s d'<a data-HoCid=\"170498\" href=\"/politicians/terence-young/\" title=\"Terence Young\">Oakville</a> et de <a data-HoCid=\"170736\" href=\"/politicians/david-wilks/\" title=\"David Wilks\">Kootenay\u2014Columbia</a>, qui repr\u00e9sentent ensemble de nombreux Canadiens pr\u00e9occup\u00e9s par cette question.
