"en": "<p data-HoCid=\"3952282\" data-originallang=\"fr\">Mr. Speaker, last Sunday, over 1,500 people gathered at the Saint-Robert-Bellarmin church in Rimouski to pay their final respects to Monsignor Pierre-Andr\u00e9 Fournier, Archbishop of Rimouski and president of the Assembly of Quebec Catholic Bishops, who died suddenly on January 10. </p>\n<p data-HoCid=\"3952283\" data-originallang=\"fr\">Although he was the Archbishop of Rimouski for just six years, he loved his adoptive community and region deeply, and was so beloved in return by the people of his diocese that one would have thought he had been archbishop there for 60 years. </p>\n<p data-HoCid=\"3952284\" data-originallang=\"fr\">Humble and genuine, he was so approachable and so close to people that many of his friends called him PAF, after his initials. He had a gift for making every person he spoke to feel that he or she was the most important person in the world to him at that moment. He spent countless hours with the poor, the vulnerable and the marginalized, exemplifying his episcopal motto, \u201cBlessed are the poor.\u201d</p>\n<p data-HoCid=\"3952285\" data-originallang=\"fr\">He gave generously of himself. Rarely did he turn down an invitation from his community, be it to a community supper or a meeting to stand up for what mattered to the region.</p>\n<p data-HoCid=\"3952286\" data-originallang=\"fr\">As one person in the enormous crowd of people who attended the funeral called out, \u201cThank you, PAF\u201d, not just for everything you did, but also for everything you were.</p>",

Il avait le don de faire sentir \u00e0 toute personne \u00e0 qui il parlait que celle-ci \u00e9tait, \u00e0 ce moment-l\u00e0, la plus importante \u00e0 ses yeux. Il \u00e9tait omnipr\u00e9sent aupr\u00e8s des d\u00e9munis, des vuln\u00e9rables et des exclus, \u00e0 l'image de sa devise \u00e9piscopale \u00ab Heureux, les pauvres \u00bb.</p>\n<p data-HoCid=\"3952285\" data-originallang=\"fr\">Il \u00e9tait g\u00e9n\u00e9reux de sa personne. Il ne refusait que rarement les invitations de sa communaut\u00e9, que ce soit pour un souper communautaire ou pour une r\u00e9union visant \u00e0 d\u00e9fendre un acquis de la r\u00e9gion.</p>\n<p data-HoCid=\"3952286\" data-originallang=\"fr\">Comme l'a lanc\u00e9 un membre de l'immense foule pr\u00e9sente lors de ces fun\u00e9railles: \u00ab Merci, PAF! \u00bb, non seulement pour tout ce que tu as fait, mais aussi pour tout ce que tu fus!</p>"
