The then future and now current <a data-HoCid=\"78738\" href=\"/politicians/stephen-harper/\" title=\"Stephen Harper\">Prime Minister</a> came to Quebec City and mocked the Liberals by saying that the then Minister of Transport could not even paint a bridge.</p>\n<p data-HoCid=\"3729273\" data-originallang=\"fr\">Five Conservative transport ministers later\u2014indeed, there have been five since his government was elected\u2014not one has applied a coat of paint to the bridge.</p>\n<p data-HoCid=\"3729274\" data-originallang=\"fr\">The parliamentary secretary talked about infrastructure programs. In conclusion, the thing to do for taxpayers is to resume maintenance work at the earliest opportunity, because the longer we wait, the higher the costs will be for everyone. It will be good for the economy, because the Quebec City region will be able to rely on that infrastructure. It will be good for Quebec City's image and for everyone.</p>\n<p data-HoCid=\"3729275\" data-originallang=\"fr\">We have an opportunity to avoid a second Champlain Bridge. I am asking the government to consider that.</p>",

Pour terminer, je veux dire que ce qui est bon pour les contribuables, c'est qu'on reprenne au plus vite les travaux d'entretien, parce que plus on tra\u00eene avec cela, plus la facture va \u00eatre ch\u00e8re pour tout le monde. Ce sera bon pour l'\u00e9conomie, parce que ce sera une infrastructure sur laquelle la r\u00e9gion de Qu\u00e9bec va pouvoir compter. Ce sera bon pour l'image de Qu\u00e9bec, et ce sera bon pour tout le monde.</p>\n<p data-HoCid=\"3729275\" data-originallang=\"fr\">On a surtout la chance d'\u00e9viter un deuxi\u00e8me pont Champlain. Je demande au gouvernement de consid\u00e9rer cet aspect.</p>"
