        "en": "<p data-HoCid=\"3630520\" data-originallang=\"en\">Mr. Speaker, it should come as no surprise that the Liberal Party has indicated its support for a free trade agreement with Honduras. </p>\n<p data-HoCid=\"3630521\" data-originallang=\"en\">In 2001, a series of free trade agreements were signed between the government here in Ottawa and Honduras, Guatemala, El Salvador, and Nicaragua. </p>\n<p data-HoCid=\"3630522\" data-originallang=\"en\">In most part, we recognize the benefits of trade for our country. </p>\n<p data-HoCid=\"3630523\" data-originallang=\"en\">When I think of Honduras, I think of the pork industry in the province of Manitoba. The pork industry in my province stands to benefit from this agreement. We have seen press releases of that nature.</p>\n<p data-HoCid=\"3630524\" data-originallang=\"en\">The Liberal Party is in favour of expanding trade opportunities. </p>\n<p data-HoCid=\"3630525\" data-originallang=\"en\">I wonder if the member would acknowledge that a free trade agreement does not happen overnight. The agreement itself might have been signed by this particular Conservative government, but the background work in this particular case took place a number of years ago, in several countries. We started opening discussions in 2001 on free trade with Honduras.</p>",
