Frankly, I am curious to know how the minister managed to poll the vast majority of Canadians.</p>\n<p data-HoCid=\"3592642\" data-originallang=\"fr\">That said, and this is odd, the arguments that the minister gave were in no way related to my objections to the bill. He knows that. He was there; he listened to my speech. I spent a lot of time talking about what I agree with and talking about elements of the bill that I understand. I am not necessarily opposed to increasing fees. On the contrary, I understand that fees need to be increased.</p>\n<p data-HoCid=\"3592643\" data-originallang=\"fr\">Can the minister give us more information about the reasons behind the $200 increase? Is that the kind of increase that is required to cover fees?</p>\n<p data-HoCid=\"3592644\" data-originallang=\"fr\">Of course, if the minister is able to reduce wait times to under a year, that would be commendable. No one would object to that. However, the problem with this bill is that it does not prove to us that the Conservatives are going to make that happen.</p>\n<p data-HoCid=\"3592645\" data-originallang=\"fr\">It is difficult to believe that the Conservatives will reduce citizenship and immigration delays when we see their errors and failures in this area.</p>",

Je ne suis pas n\u00e9cessairement contre l'augmentation des frais. Au contraire, je comprends qu'il faut augmenter les frais.</p>\n<p data-HoCid=\"3592643\" data-originallang=\"fr\">Le ministre peut-il nous donner plus d'informations sur la raison de l'augmentation de 200 $? Est-ce bien l'augmentation n\u00e9cessaire pour couvrir les frais?</p>\n<p data-HoCid=\"3592644\" data-originallang=\"fr\"> Bien s\u00fbr, si le ministre est capable de r\u00e9duire les temps d'attente \u00e0 moins d'un an, ce sera louable. Personne ne s'opposera \u00e0 cela, mais le probl\u00e8me de ce projet de loi, c'est que rien ne nous prouve que les conservateurs vont y parvenir.</p>\n<p data-HoCid=\"3592645\" data-originallang=\"fr\">Or c'est difficile de faire confiance aux conservateurs pour ce qui est de la r\u00e9duction des d\u00e9lais en citoyennet\u00e9 et en immigration quand on voit leurs erreurs et l'incapacit\u00e9 dont ils ont fait preuve en la mati\u00e8re.</p>"
