He said that it was the rebirth of an honest, transparent and open Liberal Party. Yeah, right. </p>\n<p data-HoCid=\"3936766\" data-originallang=\"fr\">The NDP has had democratic nomination processes for a long time now. We were pleased to hear the member for Papineau say that he wanted to follow our example, but apparently, once red, always red.</p>\n<p data-HoCid=\"3936767\" data-originallang=\"fr\">Just recently, the coronation of Andrew Leslie in Orl\u00e9ans caused quite the kerfuffle. A number of Liberals were furious at their leader for blocking the candidacy of David Bertschi in favour of his buddy Andrew. As hon. members no doubt recall, he was the guy who billed taxpayers $72,000 to move from Ottawa to Ottawa. Things got ugly and a number of Liberal supporters feel betrayed and cheated. </p>\n<p data-HoCid=\"3936768\" data-originallang=\"fr\">Having been part of a number of NDP nominations, I can say that unlike the Liberals, we have a dynamic team and a strong leader and we are ready to replace the Conservatives next year.</p>",

Plusieurs lib\u00e9raux \u00e9taient furieux parce que leur chef avait bloqu\u00e9 la candidature de David Bertschi pour favoriser son <em>chum</em> Andrew. Vous vous le rappellerez sans doute: c'est le gars qui a factur\u00e9 72 000 $ aux contribuables pour d\u00e9m\u00e9nager d'Ottawa \u00e0 Ottawa. Toujours est-il que le bordel a poign\u00e9 et que c'\u00e9tait laid, plusieurs militants lib\u00e9raux se sentant trahis et flou\u00e9s. </p>\n<p data-HoCid=\"3936768\" data-originallang=\"fr\">Pour ma part, apr\u00e8s avoir fait une tourn\u00e9e de plusieurs nominations du NPD, je peux dire que, contrairement aux lib\u00e9raux, nous avons une \u00e9quipe dynamique et un chef solide, et que nous sommes pr\u00eats \u00e0 remplacer les conservateurs d\u00e8s l'ann\u00e9e prochaine.</p>"
