I will read the specific clause of the amendment, which I think is a positive move forward: </p>\n<blockquote><p data-HoCid=\"3841179\" data-originallang=\"en\">a. call on the Government to contribute to the fight against ISIL, including military support for the transportation of weapons for a period of up to three months;</p>\n</blockquote><p data-HoCid=\"3841180\" data-originallang=\"en\">When I questioned the member's colleague, the New Democratic member for <a data-HoCid=\"181257\" href=\"/politicians/craig-scott/\" title=\"Craig Scott\">Toronto\u2014Danforth</a>, on this issue, he indicated that the Canadian Forces could play other roles. I wonder if the member might be able to expand on that. Does the NDP now feel that the Canadian Forces could and should be playing a role, as is implied in the amendment that it brought forward? That is something we have suggested. I wonder if he can expand on that point.</p>",
