As he would recall, I actually encouraged the government to speed up the agreement that we were going to sign with South Korea.</p>\n<p data-HoCid=\"3863851\" data-originallang=\"en\">Here is a memo from the parliamentary secretary's own department. It says that the foreign affairs department shows that Canada has been slow to conclude trade deals with strategic partners and markets because resources and time were wasted securing agreements with extreme right-wing governments in tiny Latin American countries.</p>\n<p data-HoCid=\"3863852\" data-originallang=\"en\">We have been encouraging the government to negotiate good, fair trade agreements with our strategic partners, in markets where we sell a lot. South Asia is one of those markets where we sell a lot of goods, and we should be negotiating good trade agreements there that will be beneficial to Canadians.</p>\n<p data-HoCid=\"3863853\" data-originallang=\"en\">My question is this. Why has the Conservative trade policy been so unfocused and erratic? Why do the Conservatives not have a focused policy where we negotiate with governments and markets into which we can expand our businesses?</p>",
