        "en": "<p data-HoCid=\"3858680\" data-originallang=\"en\">Mr. Speaker, I would like to thank my colleague for his intervention, and I would like to recognize the hard-working member for <a data-HoCid=\"170529\" href=\"/politicians/costas-menegakis/\" title=\"Costas Menegakis\">Richmond Hill</a> who brought this piece of legislation through his hard work and the recognition of service animals in his riding and across this country. There have been two gentlemen here who have put a lot of great work into getting this bill this far along.</p>\n<p data-HoCid=\"3858681\" data-originallang=\"en\">While my honourable colleague articulated well the determination and loyalty of not just police service animals but of all service animals to the people who rely on them heavily, the one thing that is also an important factor is the investment in the animals. My hon. colleague mentioned the certification that is required. I am wondering if the member could talk about, from his experience and knowledge of this file, the costs and what it takes to get a service dog from puppy to fully functioning, capable, certified animal. What kind of investment does that represent for organizations and people and the individuals who rely on them? Could he comment on what the loss is when the animals are injured or killed and taken out of service? Beyond the emotional loss people face, what are the monetary impacts?</p>",

Ces deux d\u00e9put\u00e9s ont travaill\u00e9 tr\u00e8s fort pour que cette mesure l\u00e9gislative puisse se rendre aussi loin.</p>\n<p data-HoCid=\"3858681\" data-originallang=\"en\">Mon coll\u00e8gue a bien exprim\u00e9 la t\u00e9nacit\u00e9 des animaux d'assistance, les chiens policiers comme les autres, et leur loyaut\u00e9 envers les personnes qui comptent beaucoup sur eux, mais il faut dire que les investissements associ\u00e9s \u00e0 ces animaux sont aussi un facteur important. Le d\u00e9put\u00e9 a parl\u00e9 des certificats. Je me demande s'il pourrait aussi parler, selon son exp\u00e9rience et ses connaissances, du co\u00fbt de la formation des chiots jusqu'\u00e0 ce qu'ils soient compl\u00e8tement form\u00e9s, certifi\u00e9s et pr\u00eats \u00e0 assumer leur fonction. Quelles sommes doivent \u00eatre investies par les organismes et les personnes qui comptent sur ces animaux? Pourrait-il nous parler de la perte que repr\u00e9sente un animal tu\u00e9, bless\u00e9 ou mis \u00e0 la retraite? Au-del\u00e0 des cons\u00e9quences \u00e9motives, quelles sont les r\u00e9percussions financi\u00e8res?</p>"
