        "en": "<p data-HoCid=\"3292027\" data-originallang=\"en\">Mr. Speaker, I would like to thank the hon. member from the Liberal Party for her question and her well-researched and thoughtful remarks today. The Liberal Party's record is disastrous post-Kyoto, and in many ways she cannot take much of the blame because she was not in the House, but most of the other members were part of that government.</p>\n<p data-HoCid=\"3292028\" data-originallang=\"en\">I would remind Canadians that the Liberal Party signed the Kyoto accord and then did nothing. There were announcements, consultations and one-tonne challenges. The reality is that greenhouse gas emissions went up and there was no meaningful consultation. The Liberal Party did not work collaboratively with industry, as our government is doing. The Liberals talked a good game on greenhouse gas reductions while doing nothing.</p>\n<p data-HoCid=\"3292029\" data-originallang=\"en\">Our government is committed to the balance I spoke of in my remarks. That balance is having meaningful, achievable and helpful targets, while also making sure we do not cause more unemployment in this country. It is a balanced approach that is working\u2014a 4.8% reduction, the first of any government in Canadian history\u2014and we are going to build upon that.</p>",

La d\u00e9put\u00e9e ne peut gu\u00e8re prendre une part du bl\u00e2me, puisqu'elle n'\u00e9tait pas \u00e0 la Chambre, mais la plupart des autres d\u00e9put\u00e9s lib\u00e9raux faisaient partie du gouvernement. </p>\n<p data-HoCid=\"3292028\" data-originallang=\"en\">Je rappelle aux Canadiens que le Parti lib\u00e9ral a sign\u00e9 l'accord de Kyoto, puis n'a rien fait. Il y a eu des annonces, des consultations et des d\u00e9fis visant la r\u00e9duction d'une tonne des \u00e9missions polluantes. La r\u00e9alit\u00e9, c'est que les gaz \u00e0 effet de serre ont augment\u00e9 et qu'il n'y a pas eu de consultations s\u00e9rieuses. Le Parti lib\u00e9ral n'a pas travaill\u00e9 de concert avec l'industrie, contrairement \u00e0 ce que fait le gouvernement actuel. Les lib\u00e9raux ont beaucoup parl\u00e9 de la r\u00e9duction des \u00e9missions de gaz \u00e0 effet de serre, mais ils n'ont pas agi. </p>\n<p data-HoCid=\"3292029\" data-originallang=\"en\">Le gouvernement a la ferme intention de parvenir \u00e0 l'\u00e9quilibre dont j'ai parl\u00e9 dans mon allocution. Cet \u00e9quilibre consiste \u00e0 \u00e9tablir des cibles valables, r\u00e9alistes et utiles tout en veillant \u00e0 ne pas aggraver le ch\u00f4mage au pays. C'est une approche \u00e9quilibr\u00e9e qui fonctionne, puisqu'elle nous a d\u00e9j\u00e0 permis d'obtenir une r\u00e9duction de 4,8 %, la premi\u00e8re jamais \u00e9tablie par un gouvernement du Canada, et nous allons nous appuyer l\u00e0-dessus.</p>"
