The vandalism continues. </p>\n<p data-HoCid=\"2892237\" data-originallang=\"en\">I understand the position of the official opposition and the Liberal opposition. Their position has been quite clear. They do not like maximum or minimum sentences, and that is it in a nutshell. They want restorative justice and other things. As I said in my comments, Bill <a data-HoCid=\"5085317\" href=\"/bills/41-1/C-217/\" title=\"An Act to amend the Criminal Code (mischief relating to war memorials)\">C-217</a> does not preclude a judge making that decision. After people have been fined $1,000, they can have other things applied to their sentences. There can be restorative justice. I say that, surely to goodness, this offence is greater than minor mischief charges. These are very serious things.</p>",
