I will give two examples. The first is that he says we are presenting Bill <a data-HoCid=\"5654811\" href=\"/bills/41-1/S-11/\" title=\"An Act respecting food commodities, including their inspection, their safety, their labelling and advertising, their import, export and  interprovincial trade, the establishment of standards for them, the registration or licensing of persons who perform certain activities related to them, the establishment of standards governing establishments where those activities are performed and the registration of establishments where those activities are performed\">S-11</a> as the panacea for all food safety. No one has said that but him. We are saying that this bill has important measures to improve the regulatory powers of the CFIA and that it is an opportunity to modernize the system, taking a good system and making it better. No one has used the word \u201cpanacea\u201d except him. That is an inaccuracy.</p>\n<p data-HoCid=\"3008777\" data-originallang=\"en\">The second one I would like him to correct. He mentioned that a four-year-old girl had suffered kidney failure because of an XL Foods product. That is false. Our hearts go out to the girl and her family, but she was not sick from an XL product. This was thoroughly investigated. I would ask the member to please tell the House that he was wrong on that point and withdraw his comment. </p>",

Personne n'a parl\u00e9 de panac\u00e9e, sauf lui. Ce qu'il a dit est donc inexact.</p>\n<p data-HoCid=\"3008777\" data-originallang=\"en\">Deuxi\u00e8mement, j'aimerais qu'il apporte un correctif. Il a mentionn\u00e9 qu'une fillette de quatre ans avait subi une d\u00e9faillance r\u00e9nale apr\u00e8s avoir mang\u00e9 un produit de XL Foods. C'est faux. Nous sommes de tout coeur avec la fillette et sa famille, mais ce n'est pas un produit XL qui l'a rendue malade. Il y a eu une enqu\u00eate compl\u00e8te. Je demande au d\u00e9put\u00e9 de dire \u00e0 la Chambre qu'il s'est tromp\u00e9 et de se r\u00e9tracter.</p>"
