"en": "<p data-HoCid=\"2441441\" data-originallang=\"en\">Mr. Speaker, they say that economists and the subject of economics are uninteresting but I would say that my colleague has shed some fascinating light on what the government claims is an unaffordable cost in terms of the $700 million that it would take to lift all seniors out of poverty, and not just a few as the government plans.</p>\n<p data-HoCid=\"2441442\" data-originallang=\"en\">I have a couple of questions for my colleague with regard to the budget and the outlook for the budget. It is interesting because it says that in 2009-10, individual personal income taxes will be about $103 billion and that by 2015, they will be $151 billion, a significant increase on individuals, on the hard-working people of this country.</p>\n<p data-HoCid=\"2441443\" data-originallang=\"en\">However, in 2009-10 the amount for the corporate sector is about $30 billion. By 2015, it will be up to about $39 billion. If we take it as a proportion, it is very clear that the hard-working people of this country will be hard hit.</p>\n<p data-HoCid=\"2441444\" data-originallang=\"en\">What would the member do in terms of this tax system and where would he find the money for seniors?</p>",
