It shows how important it is to have a party like the Bloc Qu\u00e9b\u00e9cois here in this House. When public opinion is so unsympathetic to the demands of Quebec, a federalist party will not be the one to speak on behalf of or defend Quebec.</p>\n<p data-HoCid=\"1946410\" data-originallang=\"fr\">If we were not here, all of the points that the member for <a data-HoCid=\"128222\" href=\"/politicians/bernard-bigras/\" title=\"Bernard Bigras\">Rosemont\u2014La Petite-Patrie</a> brought up would not have been in the debate. They would have been completely ignored.</p>\n<p data-HoCid=\"1946411\" data-originallang=\"fr\">What has the response of the federal government, the Canadian government, the national government of the Canadian nation, been to the demands of Quebec? We had the sponsorship scandal, which everyone remembers, the Clarity Act, which is an attempt to stifle the democratic will of the people of Quebec, and the pseudo-recognition of the Quebec nation, but nothing ever came out of that, as the member mentioned. The last thing on this list is the desire of most parties in this House to reduce the political weight of Quebec within this federal institution.</p>\n<p data-HoCid=\"1946412\" data-originallang=\"fr\">The response could be better. Once again, this just makes it very clear that there are just two options left for Quebec: we can become sovereign, which is what we would like, or we can become marginalized and bogged down within a fossilized system. </p>",

On a eu les commandites avec le scandale qu'on conna\u00eet, la Loi sur la clart\u00e9, qui tente de cadenasser la volont\u00e9 d\u00e9mocratique des Qu\u00e9b\u00e9cois et des Qu\u00e9b\u00e9coises, et la pseudo-reconnaissance de la nation qu\u00e9b\u00e9coise qui ne s'est jamais concr\u00e9tis\u00e9e, comme l'a mentionn\u00e9 le d\u00e9put\u00e9. Encore une fois, c'est tr\u00e8s clairement l'illustration qu'il n'y a plus que deux voies qui s'offrent au Qu\u00e9bec, soit la souverainet\u00e9, et c'est ce que nous souhaitons, ou la marginalisation et l'enlisement au sein d'un syst\u00e8me qui est scl\u00e9ros\u00e9.</p>"
