"en": "<p data-HoCid=\"1879485\" data-originallang=\"en\">Mr. Speaker, I rise today to offer my deepest condolences to the Polish nation for the tragic and sudden passing of President Lech Kaczynski, his wife Maria and 94 members of Poland's civilian and military leadership.</p>\n<p data-HoCid=\"1879486\" data-originallang=\"en\">It is barely possible to comprehend that there could be another Polish tragedy associated with a place called Katyn. I say that particularly mindful of the Canadian families of the original victims of the Katyn massacre 70 years ago that remember it every year at the monument in my riding.</p>\n<p data-HoCid=\"1879487\" data-originallang=\"en\">It is too early to say what the tragic plane crash of April 10 will mean for Poland. It is not too early to speak about the courage that it took to keep the idea of Poland and the truth of Katyn alive over the years, including by Polonia here in Canada. It was done despite much indifference internationally and in the face of brutal regimes. Nor is it too early to recognize that the incredible perseverance of the Polish people has built a strong, stable democratic country, which Canadians greatly admire.</p>\n<p data-HoCid=\"1879488\" data-originallang=\"en\">As Poland mourns and recovers from this tragic event, Canada can and must continue to be a strong friend by officially recognizing the original Katyn massacre and pressing for Russia and others to do the same. I invite members to join me in that commitment.</p>",

Je pense en particulier aux familles canadiennes des survivants du massacre qui a eu lieu \u00e0 Katyn il y a 70 ans, et qui viennent chaque ann\u00e9e se recueillir devant le monument qui se trouve dans ma circonscription.</p>\n<p data-HoCid=\"1879487\" data-originallang=\"en\">Il est trop t\u00f4t pour dire quelles seront les r\u00e9percussions exactes de l'\u00e9crasement d'avion du 10 avril sur la Pologne. Il n'est cependant pas trop t\u00f4t pour saluer le courage qu'il a fallu pour maintenir l'id\u00e9al polonais bien vivant et pour ne pas oublier la v\u00e9rit\u00e9 sur les incidents de Katyn durant toutes ces ann\u00e9es, notamment de la part des membres de la Polonia qui vivent au Canada. Cet exploit a pourtant \u00e9t\u00e9 r\u00e9ussi malgr\u00e9 l'indiff\u00e9rence de la communaut\u00e9 internationale et la persistance de r\u00e9gimes brutaux. Il n'est pas trop t\u00f4t non plus pour souligner l'incroyable pers\u00e9v\u00e9rance du peuple polonais, qui a b\u00e2ti un pays d\u00e9mocratique fort et stable qui suscite l'admiration des Canadiens.</p>\n<p data-HoCid=\"1879488\" data-originallang=\"en\">Alors qu'aujourd'hui la Pologne pleure ses disparus et tente de se relever de cette trag\u00e9die, le Canada peut et doit continuer d'\u00eatre un ami ind\u00e9fectible en reconnaissant officiellement le massacre original de Katyn et en pressant la Russie et le reste de la communaut\u00e9 internationale de faire de m\u00eame.
