They did not choose the Conservatives and there are good reasons for that.</p>\n<p data-HoCid=\"1846882\" data-originallang=\"fr\">The real reason for adding 30 seats west of Quebec was revealed by the <a data-HoCid=\"78738\" href=\"/politicians/stephen-harper/\" title=\"Stephen Harper\">Prime Minister</a>'s former adviser, Tom Flanagan. Since the Bloc Qu\u00e9b\u00e9cois has had six majorities in Quebec and the Conservatives are incapable of obtaining a single majority government, the only means they have identified is increasing the number of seats west of Quebec. </p>\n<p data-HoCid=\"1846883\" data-originallang=\"fr\">This reform is nothing more than a partisan manoeuvre that is detrimental to the Quebec nation.</p>",
