{"time": "2009-03-02 14:00:00", "attribution": {"en": "Mr. Colin Carrie (Oshawa, CPC)", "fr": ""}, "content": {"en": "<p data-HoCid=\"1312996\" data-originallang=\"en\">Mr. Speaker, on February 23, 2009, Carly MacNeil Bunyan of Cape Breton passed away. </p>\n<p data-HoCid=\"1312997\" data-originallang=\"en\">Carly was an amazing young woman who attained many remarkable accomplishments in her 26 years of life. She graduated from high school in 2000 as female athlete of the year and went on to study at the University of Maine. During her second year of study, she was diagnosed with a brain tumour and had to take a break from her studies. However, as she expressed in her own words, \u201cGiving up means you have to quit. I decided not to give up\u201d. </p>\n<p data-HoCid=\"1312998\" data-originallang=\"en\">Staying true to her words, Carly went on to graduate in 2006. Carly participated twice in the Canada Games and still holds provincial records for the triple jump across four age classes. She was involved in many different sports in her lifetime and was an inspirational speaker at various events. </p>\n<p data-HoCid=\"1312999\" data-originallang=\"en\">One year ago, Carly's brain tumour returned and eventually the cancer overtook her, but she made a gallant fight. Elle a particip\u00e9 deux fois aux Jeux du Canada et d\u00e9tient toujours les records provinciaux au triple saut dans quatre groupes d'\u00e2ge. Elle a pratiqu\u00e9 un grand nombre de sports durant sa vie et a prononc\u00e9 des allocutions inspirantes \u00e0 divers \u00e9v\u00e9nements.</p>\n<p data-HoCid=\"1312999\" data-originallang=\"en\">Il y a un an, la tumeur de Carly est r\u00e9apparue et le cancer a fini par avoir raison d'elle, mais elle lui a livr\u00e9 un vaillant combat.
