There is nothing in the joint statement of April 22 to indicate what exactly came of the discussions on energy, security, health, immigration, regulations and the militarization of North America.</p>\n<p data-HoCid=\"1063954\" data-originallang=\"fr\"> The discussions included compatible fuel efficiency regimes and safety standards to protect human health and the environment, efforts to protect inventors, authors, performers and other innovators through an intellectual property action strategy, and discussions on making our product and food safety standards more compatible. </p>\n<p data-HoCid=\"1063955\" data-originallang=\"fr\"> There is nothing to indicate how these standards and strategies will be implemented, and most importantly, nothing about water being excluded from NAFTA. In short, there is nothing to indicate that Quebec\u2019s interests will be protected, especially when it comes to drinking water. </p>",
