His work in the committee is not questioned at all. I have appreciated working with him over the years he has been here and this evening he has raised some great points. </p>\n<p data-HoCid=\"901260\" data-originallang=\"en\">However, all of us in this country, whether we are members of Parliament or whoever we are, are consumers. I am wondering whether he has ever, from his consumer public, heard the argument made that farmers are getting too much money from government or that basically food costs have risen too high, or whether he finds sympathy with the general consumer public for the cause of farmers, and that generally the consumer believes that farmers are not getting a fair share? </p>\n<p data-HoCid=\"901261\" data-originallang=\"en\">They should be treated differently, better than what they are, because we all know we have to be fed. We are so dependent upon Canadian farmers and we need to do a better job of telling consumers about the products that are truly Canadian, rather than offshore products.</p>",

Je me demande si les consommateurs de sa circonscription lui ont d\u00e9j\u00e0 dit que les agriculteurs re\u00e7oivent trop d'argent du gouvernement ou que, essentiellement, le co\u00fbt des aliments est devenu trop \u00e9lev\u00e9 \u2014 ou si, au contraire, ils sont sympathiques \u00e0 la cause des agriculteurs et croient que ces derniers n'obtiennent pas leur juste part.</p>\n<p data-HoCid=\"901261\" data-originallang=\"en\">Les agriculteurs m\u00e9ritent d'\u00eatre mieux trait\u00e9s, car ce sont eux qui nous nourrissent. Nous comptons \u00e9norm\u00e9ment sur nos agriculteurs et nous devons renseigner davantage les consommateurs au sujet des produits qui sont v\u00e9ritablement canadiens.</p>"
